Wolfling and I saw Wolverine last night, and I enjoyed it much more than I expected. In fact, I found it surprisingly satisfying.

Today I'm going to the doctor to get my right knee looked at. I injured it a week ago Monday when working out for the first time with the Wii My Fitness Coach, not realizing that the hop-kick manuever was a bit more high-impact that my weight and joints could actually take. The doctor will also look at the toes I slammed into my bedframe and may have fractured. I'd been hoping everything would clear up on its own, but no such luck. I really want to be fully active again!

My favorite high school English teacher is a friend on Facebook, and he's officially an inspiration for me again. He's pushing sixty, has four grandkids, and is racing mountain bikes and getting tattoos! He also has what looks like a very successful writing business. It's been fun to be in touch again.

Today I'm heading over to FormerMyCo to have a lunch with a friend. Instead of going out to a restaurant, we'll have sack lunches in the cafeteria. This will practically guarantee that I'll see a few other old friends and colleagues as well. I'm looking forward to it.

The rest of the day will involve trying to verify that a utility refund check ($500) was actually sent to me, inquiring about when -- if ever -- maintenance is going to come look at the toilet in my apartment that keeps cycling on its own, and doing business development tasks.
